My name is Ali and I started baking in college and ever since have loved it but it was not until recently that I found I had real knack for it. I have a full time job and a tiny kitchen but I have decided, with the help of some inadvertent marketing, to make a go at a part time special events baking company.

First Attempt at Cake Pops

It went OK but they will be better the next time around.
I am going to do pumpkins.
I will also have some better pictures.

My make shift drying area. It could have worked better since they all fell over at one point.

Some would not stay on the sticks. Either they were too big or the coating was too thick.

They looked pretty once I wrapped them up.

And they were a hit a work.

They disappeared quickly!
And I am sure they will be better next time.

Later this week.... slider cupcakes and maybe some more cake pops.

  1. Here's a tip I tried to have them stay on the stick. Freeze the pops for almost an hour, then dip the stick into the melted chocolate then put the stick into the ball and dip the ball. Hope it helps!

  2. I did this and it helped but I should probably leave them in the freezer longer. The coating was so thick it would still pull the cake off the stick. Everything went much better once I thinned out the vanilla candy melts.

Thanks for the tip I am sure it will help when I do them next!
